If the children are good at writing, they might use an anger journal so that they can take a time out, write what is bothering them, and close the journal and leave it there until they can deal with it in a calm manner. They might also be taught how to use art as a means of expressing their anger in a healthy manner. Exercise might also be introduced in the anger management classes for children as a way to get out excess energy, as well as getting them away from the situation so that they have time to calm down.
